Beauty Now: Stuff You Can Buy Today

olehenriksenlemonmask

First up this week is this lovely new peel product, Lemon Strip Flash Peel, from Ole Henriksen, and as luck would have it, I tried it this morning. Calling it a peel is too strong a word; it is more a complexion refiner and feels far more gentle on the skin than other ‘peely’ products that I have used. I was really impressed with it – it comes with a little brush to paint the product onto you skin so you end up using it quite sparingly – you just don’t need a thick layer for the lactic, glycolic and fruit acids to do their work. The result on my skin was a considerably brighter complexion and very soft skin. I really liked it and would highly recommend. It’s £35 HERE.

Diorskin Nude BB

If you aren’t totally over the BB thing, then I wanted to flag up two new ones. One from Dior, and one from Bourjois. The Dior Hydralife BB was a firm favourite with me and while I haven’t tried the DiorSkin version yet, it’s a lighter version with a ‘rosy glow’ effect and has SPF10. I’d recommend this for those who like a light coverage and a glowy look. It’s £30, HERE. The Bourjois Compact BB Cream Foundation, £11.99 HERE, is higher on coverage and pretty hydrating for a cream compact. It’s got SPF20 and is very good value.

Estee Lauder Paint Pots

I swatched Estee Lauder Paint Pots a while ago HERE and absolutely love them; intense, creamy and long-lasting. No complaints! They’re £19 and Sinister is my top recommend for dark, smoked eyes. Find them HERE.

Well, you’ll either love or loathe these gummy bear soaps – I haven’t tested but rather have my eye on the Pina Colada ‘flavour’. They’re £6 HERE

Ea de Lacoste

I have heard nothing but good things about this new women’s fragrance from Lacoste, Eau de Lacoste. Whenever I think of Lacoste I think of the green crocodile and tennis, but Eau de Lacoste couldn’t be further away from that image. It’s a feminine fruity-floral that looks so pretty and if you are tired of winter, could be the perfect antidote. It’s from £28.05 HERE.

This is such a cutie; I posted on it earlier this week and now it’s live on the M&S site for £6 HERE

  1. Those Estee Lauder Paint Pots look so good. I am a cream shadow addict. Why must I be so skint in January??

  2. Helen Gray

I had a cheeky spray of Eau De Lancome the other day and it really pretty, the perfect Spring fragrance.
