What you’re looking at here is an empty! And you can tell that I have a new fluffy coat because there is definitely some shedding (it’s turning out to be quite a problem.. like having a cat in the shedding department!) – oops! But, I can’t sing the praises of this serum enough – it’s not often I get to the bottom of anything because I have to be continually changing things up in order to get the volume of product tested. However, my skin has responded so well to Beauty+ Institut Esthederm Intensif Vitamin A Serum that I’ve ordered up another bottle – others will just have to wait.

It’s Retinol based but it seems to be a very gentle version – and for plumpiness it’s a marvel. My skin looks and feels better for it in terms of softness and smoothness, I’m in no doubt. The texture is more oil than serum, and the only downside is that I did notice a bit of staining on my bed linen as a result of using it so I switched from using it at night to using it in the morning. I’d be very surprised if you didn’t find some line-smoothing benefits from this although personally I like it for its overall effect of hydrated, firmer feeling and more plumped skin. It’s £43 HERE.

The price surprised me I must say. Very reasonable for Esthederm. I always feel need to lisp to say the name ….lol!

I want to try it. Every retinol serum has made my skin very dry and irritated. Esthederm must be using a low concentration of retinol that is still effective enough to make skin look good, but doesn’t irritate it.

Very interesting. I would love to know exactly how much retinol it contains. My own skin is dry/dehydrated and sensitive. I can’t seem to find the perfect retinol for it, but when I stop using retinol altogether, I see the difference right away. And it’s not a pretty sight. Aren’t you worried about using retinol during the say, though? I’ve always heard that it’s a night time-only product.

No.. because I’m using a base with SPF usually.

The link is to a slightly different product, fyi. I too have to be careful with retinol products, it’s nice to read of a gentle version x

Hi Jane, I love this serum too and I wondered if you had tried the cream from this line? It’s absolutely divine as well! Highly recommend x
