So, the big news of the week is that Coty is strongly rumoured to have bought up Max Factor, Wella and Covergirl from P&G.
While it’s all big excitement at the finance end (it’s a $12 billion deal, apparently), it’s probably going to be completely devastating to anyone working at any of those three. As you can imagine, streamlining will be the first part of any move and jobs will certainly go. Think PR, marketing, digital and all the support departments. In the beauty industry we’ve all seen these big brand shifts before and nothing is ever the same afterwards.

Huge news, but like you I’m a bit scared of what will now happen to these brands xx
I read they also bought Gucci perfumes as well????
Wow! Interesting to see what will happen to them now!

Wow! That’s a sizeable chunk of companies to buy up. Will be interesting to see what changes are made besides the inevitable loss of jobs.
I wonder if it will bring any new product inovations.
Does that mean we’ll get cover girl here?
