So far, I’m loving the bareMinerals seasonal offerings. However, even though it’s destined for Christmas, bareMinerals The Magic Act Palette I think is going to see you long beyond winter and well into spring. Kind of wishing that all these shades came in a regular palette.

bareMinerals The Magic Act Palette is a fold-out palette in a board casing – starting with eye shades and ending with suggested looks which I always think is a great idea. Not everyone knows how to do everything so it’s just a helpful pointer.

The six strong eye selection kicks off with pastels into and segues into richer brown shades. Pinks and browns are really a winner anyway – they really do that Kardashian eye thing so well.

Swatch-wise, the colours came out nice and strong with one stroke of the brush only – from top to bottom are Celebrate (a matte light cream), Fortune (a matte baby pink), Shazam (a gold shot shimmer pink), A-Ha (a shimmering taupe), Pumped (a lightly sparkled deep brown) and Foreshadow (a dark matte maron).

The second row of colours consists of luminzed cheek shades – The Premiere is a lightly golden shade, The Close Call is more of a bronze, The Natural High is a beautiful pink/peach/gold that gives cheeks a pop of colour and finally, The Indecent Proposal is more of a cool toned rose pink – great for emphasising cheek bones.

I’d easily wear all of these shades – there isn’t a bum note in the whole palette. There is a mirror in the palette, but no brush, which is a bit of a shame but otherwise, it’s all good. It’s £35 HERE.
