A decent tinted lip balm is a brilliant thing – I am forever addicted to Lanolips balms but these Balance Me Tints come in as a very strong competitor. If you’ve used Lanolips the immediate and obvious difference is that the Balance Me Tints don’t have nearly the same level of sheen – they actually feel salve-like rather than a gloss substitute.
I have the shade Nude which is perfect, but there are three other shades to choose from, Sheer Raspberry, Ruby Red and Rose Blush. Containing organic shea, mango and cocoa butter as well as rosehip, jojoba and coconut oils, they’re very protective. I can’t say I found them hydrating as such, but felt they did the job of stopping my lips from drying out very well. My only critique is that they are minty, thankfully very mildly so, and I don’t like having minty lips! But, that’s a personal preference.
