The the first drop of the consumer version of the Babyliss Pro Curl Secret has now arrived at Boots – it’s easily the best hair tool (excluding straighteners) that I’ve ever used, creating loose curls in an instant.
It works by coiling a strand of hair, heating it and releasing – hey presto, curls! When I used the pro version on my hair I found it so quick and easy – a revelation really and it makes curling wands look positively prehistoric in technology terms. I also used it on friends – personally, I think it looks best used on longer length hair to create a natural looking, loose curl from the mid length, though I guess you could go all ringletty from the root if you want to. Bottom line of it is that it looks effortlessly natural and it is pretty much effortless in use compared to anything else on the market.
It’s not a cheap thing by any means at £119.99 but I do think that it will become indispensable for the reluctantly straight-haired amongst us! Find it HERE. (I think this is an early drop because it wasn’t due to launch for a couple of weeks yet so I think they’ll disappear quite quickly.)

I love this! My hairdresser used it on me for a wedding I was going to, and as soon as payday rolls round it’s first on my to-buy list! xx
D Is For…
I have so many hair curling tools that are gathering dust! I always think they look so great and easy to use but then get them home and that’s not the case. I wonder could this be “the one”? 🙂
OMG!!! its so sad to know it’s not available to Mexico =(
I have a shoulder length bob , would this be suitable ?
yes, definitely x
Thank you, that’s my Birthday present sorted . 🙂
Wow, as someone who skipped the gene for hair styling this would be brilliant. Bit unsure on whether to go with the pro version or this one- which would you say is better? Or the pro’s/cons of owning it? Thanks!
both are basically the same really, I manage a hair salon and in general the staff prefers curling irons for thicker and more dense hair. This usually takes more time (for them because they are used to work fast with curling irons) and you have less room to determine the pattern in the head for final styling. Even thou I still think its a great tool for people that are not that experienced in styling their hair it makes them easy for them if you get the hang of it . It all depends but if you have a lot of hair it will take some time to do the full curl set.
