B. Fixed Long-wear Eyeshadow Primer

Some of the best selling items from the B. range are its primers, so that tells you a lot before I’ve even started. I pretty much always use an eye-primer (and rarely a face primer) so I’ve been looking forward to testing B. Fixed Long-wear Eyeshadow Primer.

As you can see in the picture, B. Fixed Long-wear Eyeshadow Primer has a kind of moussy quality; it feels very smooth with a little bit of a silicone edge to it. The colour only shows very slightly on the lid – which is as you’d want it so it doesn’t interfere with your eyeshadow, but does give a smooth and even-toned base on which to apply.

Having tried this out, I can tell you that you need only the tiniest amount – I can’t even imagine how long the tube will last – dab onto your finger what you think you need and then halve it! It instantly smooths the lids, which then helped the shadow I used over it to go on more evenly. If you’re someone that ‘loses’ their eye make-up during the course of the day, then you need B. Fixed Long-wear Eyeshadow Primer!

The one caution that I’d have is that if you have very oily lids, it may not be quite right for you – it does have quite a bit of slip to the formula and you may need a drier consistency if that’s the case. It’s a bit of a snip at £8.99 for a tube that will last and last, and all B. products are cruelty free and suitable for vegans and vegetarians.

You’ll find B. Fixed Long-wear Eyeshadow Primer in Superdrug stores from October 22nd. Hurry this one up, please Superdrug!

  3. I’ve used their face primer and that gives a really nice finish, my favourite product by B. is their lipsticks especially Eton Mess 🙂

I tend to have quite oily eyelids so i dont think this will be for me. But it seems like a nice primer. Great review,

Spooky… I was just about to run out of primer & was looking for a new one with a reasonable price tag.
Have to say that all the B products I have tried thus far have been surprisingly impressive.
