Aveda makeup gets overlooked too often – it’s a brand best known for hair products, but behind the scenes, there are some really lovely pieces. The gloss is very minty which personally, I don’t like, but there are plenty of people who do enjoy a minty hit. As you’d expect, there are lots of Christmas gifts from the brand, but what you might not realise is that Aveda wrap each one in Iokta bark paper to support a partnership with the people of Nepal. 5,500 people in that region have been employed to make more than 2,000,000 sheets of paper for Aveda. What this means is that over 6,000 children are able to attend school when otherwise they very well may not be able to. Which actually makes the Aveda gifts even more special.
The two glosses inside this little set (£17) are Golden Lily and Holly Berry – Holly Berry is a very decent smack of warm toned red, while Golden Lily is a wash of golden shimmer. The set is RRP £17 but I’ve found it for £14.45 HERE.
