It’s a while since I got up close and personal with Armani make up – the spring collection is surprisingly muted from what I remember of previous colour palettes. I’ve swatched both the eye liners and the palette (see pics) and they’re polar opposites in terms of delivery. The eye pencils are wow! They literally glide onto the skin and give an almost glossy finish – very striking, especially in black. When I tried to remove them with Crealine they took a little bit of rubbing to get them off – I consider that a good thing when it comes to eye pencils as it lessens the likelihood of fading and smudging. The palette however looks very dense in colour until you try to put it on – the colours come out so sheer – too sheer in fact – that I needed to do about three swipes of the brush to get the shades you see above. So, while it looks impactful in situ, on the skin it’s a whole other story. If you like your shades sheer and muted then it’s obviously perfect, but if you were expecting a splash of colour, you’d be hard pushed with this palette. Lipsticks are beautifully creamy and very wearable – actually they last quite a long time and have credible staying power.
