I’m really starting to like the Aerin range – a lot. In my view it’s make-up for women who don’t like make-up. All the shades are pre-edited to be gentle but flattering and ultimately, wearable. There is nothing here that I couldn’t wear on a daily basis; neutrals and then some that enhance beautifully rather than grab attention. One of the reasons I don’t like red lipstick is because it feels like everyone stares if you wear it.. and I hate that!
Although it isn’t billed as such, I’m guessing that it’s also for women of a certain age – where neon blue lashes and hyper bright eye shadows just don’t feel that appropriate any more – and it manages to look elegant and not at all boring. Big likes.
This is the summer range, that I’ll post more about when I can swatch but it’s out in May.

I need to investigate this range, everything I’ve seen online of it has been stunning. I love the packaging, it’s the perfect balance of luxury and sophisticated.
It appears a pretty collection but this brand really annoys me. If you don’t live in or close to London or another big city finding the more exclusive collections can be tricky. I could order on line but want to see the goods in real life before I part with my cash. Putting details of where the collection is stocked in an accessible part of their website would help. I’ve looked on the Estee Lauder/Aerin website on more than one occasion and can’t see a store that sells Aerin. I’ve also Googled for stockists but can’t find details.
When a major brand puts a lot of effort into a niche exclusive brand and ignores its core regular customers I view it as a warning signal that the brand is losing its way. Examples of this are Yasmin Yusuf with her Limited Collection at Marks and Spencer and Jaeger with its Jaeger London label.
You can buy it at harrods.com or Selfridges.com x
I’ve bought a few things from the Aerin brand online and because the products are mainly neutrals with sheer buildable formulas I have not been disappointed with anything. Plus the lipsticks are great, they are really moisturising and are one of the only brands of lipstick that don’t make my lips chap.
The packaging is so pretty, especially on the spring palette I got. Although it is a little disappointing that the gold compacts are plastic, but if they were metal they would be even more expensive than they already are.
I’m looking forward to seeing the swatches of this collection, thanks for posting!
