Feel Unique Nichola Joss Best Of Beauty Box

For as long as I can remember in my beauty career, a Nichola Joss facial has been spoken of in hushed, revered tones. Her facial massaging is stuff of legend, not least because it’s vigorous, effective and … wait for this.. she goes at your face from inside your mouth! Nichola is expert in deep tissue work and the theory is that if cheeks are well massaged they contract, giving a perking effect. No wonder she has been snapped up by FeelUnique as Skincare Ambassador.

It’s no surprise really that, given her expertise in faces, products and skin, that she’s partnered with FeelUnique on a beauty box that gives you the best of experiences in treating your skin yourself to a facial. I like a box with a purpose and I’m a huge believer in the self-care aspect of beauty products – something that gets missed in the urgency of relaying ‘miracles’. That time you set aside for yourself is so important, particularly the older you get and the less there is in the energy bank sometimes, just as a reminder that it’s half an hour well spent when your skin starts to glow. Nurturing your ‘beauty’ is really all about nurturing yourself – good for mind and body.

The whole point of this collaboration is to bring you Nichola’s philosophy of skin massage, circulation and movement, emphasising the importance of how you use the product once it’s in your hand.

So, what’s in the box? Some products are tried and trusted favourites, and a couple are new to me.

Firstly, Decleor Aroma Cleanse 3-in-1 Hydra Radiance Cleansing Mousse. Banish all thoughts of mousses being drying – this one has oat milk, papaya and neroli essential oils and a beautiful ‘slip’ so that you can easily, and properly, massage as you cleanse. Next, is Jurlique Rose Moisture Plus Cream Mask. We’re back to tradition here – no slippy sheet masks in this box! As well as being very hydrating and skin softening, it smells beautiful – a real rosy burst, so this is the time to lay back for ten minutes with a magazine or podcast and let it do its work. Skyn Iceland is a brand I don’t know particularly well, but I do know that the concept of ‘slice’ masking is very on trend as a method of targeting particular areas that need something extra. Firming gels for targeted areas, with minerals and glacial water are best kept in the fridge for a skin wake up. I’m so pleased to see that Caudalie’s Beauty Elixir is included – who doesn’t love this? It’s a gorgeous, misty elixir with grape extract, orange blossom, rose and mint that is the saviour of many a hot and bothered face on a summer’s day. Finish your facial with a spritz of this and inhale the uplifting aromas. I’m also pleased to see a body product – Omorovicza Firming Body Oil. If you’re a twitchy relaxer like me, it’s nice to have something to do if you can’t just lie there with a magazine or book! While your face masks are doing their job, you can work on your body by massaging legs and arms to release tension and leave skin feeling flexible and supple. Don’t forget that this will also increase circulation and leave you feeling like your step is lighter.

The Nichola Joss & FeelUnique box is all about feeling good, taking the time and making the time, and if it takes a box to remind you to do that, it’s a box worth having. It’s got a value of £113 and is £49.50 HERE. (I also noticed 10% off today with code PAYDAY).
