[unpaid/sample] If you like to use a cream cleanser, a swipe with toner straight afterwards to see off the residue and leave skin feeling super clean, completes the job perfectly. I don’t often use toner these days but when I tried True Skincare Hydrating Blossom & Pine Toner it made me question why not. It’s really not the harsh astringent of old, but a waterless version that smells utterly beautiful.

In place of H20 is pine trunk extract and glycerine which makes for a very soft liquid that’s also infused with clary sage, neroli and rose geranium. The fragrance actually smells of all of them in equal measure. There’s some salicylic acid in the mix too which will give some mild exfoliation.

I’d say this is best for oilier or break out skin types – you could use it, if you haven’t worn make-up that day, as a mild cleanser on its own or as a morning cleanse but if you’re using to tone or refresh, just pop a couple of drops into your cupped hands and pat over the skin to leave it feeling fresh. In summer, take it straight from the fridge for a skin and senses wake up.  It’s sold out everywhere, but is on pre-order HERE, and well worth the wait at £14.50.
