Skin Matrix HD Micellar Cleansing Pads

Skin Matrix HD Micellar Cleansing Pads

Ooh, so these are right up my street. I love a micellar and I’m prone to a lazy cleanse every now and again. By that, I mean I don’t do the full balm, double cleanse every single day night but I do usually cleanse in some way or another. It’s not that a micellar cleanse is the lazy option, it’s just a heck of lot less faff than the full monty. Even more so when it comes already infused into a (biodegradable) pad. It’s my perfect ‘in front of the TV’ cleanse. I’m hesitant to say that they’re good for travel to bypass the tiny bag because they are quite ‘wet’ and I wonder if they’d count as a liquid.

There are three options – Sensitive, Exfoliating and Hydrating. I opted to test Hydrating and while I cannot say they are hydrating per se, they certainly don’t feel stripping or drying (possibly thanks to the hyaluronic). They really don’t need to do more than remove excess make up (which they do) and leave skin feeling freshly clean (they do) and I love that they’re not formulated with alcohol or fragrance which is helpful for those who have sensitivities. They’re more moisture packed than wipes so you might need a tissue at hand to just dry off your skin before the air does.

They’re a bit of a luxury laziness at £27 HERE but I like them enormously for being exactly that and they do feel much more of an upgrade to your average wipe. I’m quite surprised that these haven’t been picked up by bigger retailers. Ingredient list below.

Aqua, Glycerin, PEG 6, Caprylic/Capric Glycerides, Disodium EDTA, Allantonin, Chamomilla Recutita Flower Extract, Cetrimonium Bromide, Sodium PCA, Urea, Trehalose, Polyquaternium-39, Triacetin, Sodium Hyaluronate.
