Solid facial oil is such a great idea – for anyone who struggles with their beauty bag liquid flight allowance, it’s a problem instantly solved. This is rather a niche brand, despite being owned now by the Estee Lauder group, and it’s at the luxury end, price wise, but it’s got a legion of fans who swear by the efficacy of the oils.
There are three sticks – Geranium and Orange Blossom, Lavender Absolute and Jasmine and Neroli. I picked out Lavender Absolute as it’s a fragrance I thought I’d like to have on a plane (while I’m gripping the arm-rests on take-off and waiting for the gin trolley), but you could choose any of them for skin nourishment because the base consists of Safflower Seed Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, Rose Fruit Oil, Avocado Oil, Cocoa Seed Butter, Shea Butter, Mango Seed Butter, Rice Bran Extract, Babassu Seed Oil and Rosemary so you’ll get the hydration and skin comfort you need. Travel isn’t this handy stick’s only USP – I thought it would be ideal for anyone with mobility issues that struggles with the fine motor skills needed for unscrewing bottles of oil and the need not to wobble as you dispense it.
The bar is set high by Olio Lusso oils – they’re really lovely products that are everything good for skin, but at £55 a pop, they’re not easily going to fall into every shopping basket. You can find them HERE.
