Plosion Micro Bubble Wash

Seriously, if I ever do get myself to Japan, I can see a very serious excess luggage situation on the way home. Over the weekend I put Plosion Micro Bubble Wash to the test. It’s nothing like the carbonated face wash I nearly drowned in a couple of weeks ago, but it is one of the softest cleansing foams I’ve ever come across. The ‘bubble’ thing is a big Asian trend – it’s thought that you’ll get extra deep cleansing and oxygenated skin the more bubbly bits there are around your face. I don’t know if I’m convinced (carbonated products are something we haven’t really seen much of yet in the UK, but foams are everywhere) of that reasoning but I do know I good cleanse when I see one!

One tiny squirt of the can and you get a huge burst of cloudy foam – it turns into a sort of bubble bursting lather on your skin that feels immensely cleansing. This is another thing I’ve noticed about Japanese cleansing washes – they are so much more emollient and rich than the ones we have on offer here. There is definitely a difference (as noted with Suqqu Enrich Foaming Facial Wash already sold out on Selfridges.com). I’ve found Plosion Micro Bubble Wash on Ebay but nowhere else that makes it reliably accessible for now.

This looks interesting! You should have seen the amount of beauty products I brought back from my trip to Japan. Matsumoto Kiyoshi is a beauty lovers dream – it’s Sephora on acid.
