[productsample/affiliate] Since the Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment has become a weekly staple (I have to stop myself using it more) I’ve noticed that my skin benefits from a really intense moisture treatment afterwards. If I use it in the day, I just put a serum such as BioEffect on straight afterwards and then a hydrating foundation, but if I use it at night, I follow up with an intensive moisturiser. Step in Paula’s Choice Super Hydrate Overnight Mask which does the job perfectly.

Paula’s Choice Super Hydrate Overnight Mask

It’s a good night time choice because it doesn’t have the weight of a traditional night cream and actually feels quite cooling on the skin which is pleasant. The formula is a gel-cream so you need to put it on at least 20 minutes before you plan to hit the pillow to allow it to dry properly. At that point, it forms a film (it’s not tight) over your skin so it stays on your face more readily. I liked it a lot for the very velvety feel it gave my skin although not for the fact I had to wash it off in the morning (sorry, I hate putting a flannel to my face in the morning!). I felt that it gave my newly exfoliated skin an extra glow and smoothness the following day. I did a hand test on this mask and once I’d seen what it did to my hand, I couldn’t wait to get it on my face!

This mask is in collaboration with Skin City [prior ad relationship], a fabulous skin care focussed Scandinavian beauty website, so ingredients include cloudberry. It’s the second time cloudberry has cropped up this week! The mask is £29 or there is a try me size for £7 HERE.  ExfoliKate is HERE (there’s an offer for an Exfolikate Discovery Box for £33 reduced from £58 which I’d highly recommend because a full size of ExfoliKate is £72 and I think you really need to know you like it before dropping that amount – I’ve linked to that).
