Origins Ginzing SPF35 Hydrating Prettifying Finisher

My heart is sinking a little at the though of having to find the beauty words to describe a prettifying finisher. I think the nearest I can get is an SPF with glow. It’s for that time of year when your complexion is warm and doesn’t need colour but does need perfecting – it’s the equivalent (although totally different constitution) of ‘powdering your nose’ .. that thing that just makes you ‘ready’. Prettifying Finisher doesn’t blur exactly but it does raise the look and energy of your complexion. I wore it this morning with the new Boujois blush tints (coming up!) and it was a very natural, awakened skin look with out being made up exactly.

As you can see, it looks as though there is a tint but maybe I could describe it more as a hydrating veil because tinted moisturiser is too strong for the effect. It’s for you if you don’t wear a lot of make up or base but do like something over and above naked skin, and we can’t cast aside the SPF35. The one thing I’d say is that it is at its best in the first couple of hours – so it’s the thing you put on before you walk the dog or go on the coffee or school run – it didn’t last anything like a whole day on me but given we all know we should be topping up on SPF and not relying on a one-time application in the mornings, it’s an exception that I’d be happy to reapply. I use the Clinique foundation brush HERE (it’s £28 so qualifies you for 4 free samples and free delivery) that I use a lot, and it evens it out very well and turns the application into a quick swish rather than a palaver. The Prettifier is HERE and you qualify for free delivery and two skin care samples.
