MAC Prep & Prime Cucumber

[affiliatelink] Every now and again I do a bit of my own beauty shopping – it’s often quite hard to justify when I am sent so many things to try but when I walked past the MAC counter in Fenwick yesterday, I couldn’t keep my purse in my pocket when I saw the fruity Prep & Primes.

MAC Prep & Prime Cucumber

There are five fragrance variants – pineapple, melon, cucumber, white tea and peony. Who would choose white tea out of that gorgeous line-up? I was absolutely torn between pineapple and cucumber – the melon was a little bit plasticky for me and the other two just not summery or interesting enough. I should also mention that I got great counter service – really chatty, friendly and pleasant; I was advised to keep it in the fridge – which is where it is now – so that the coolness of the cucumber really takes effect.

I think we all know what Prep & Prime is and does – but briefly, a vitamin and antioxidant spritz that softens and conditions the skin while giving protection from pollution. You can use ts before or after make up and on bare skin whenever you want a refresh. This particular cucumber fragrance is delish – properly fresh and aquatic – a nice after-gym buddy or instant wake-up for hot complexions. It’s definitely better kept in the fridge for summer time – that icy mist drenched with cucumber notes is just perfect.

This mini version is £12.50 HERE non aff HERE, which I feel is good value for pleasure and benefit.

The MAC staff at Fenwick are my favourites. They are sooo helpful and lovely.

Yes, I think it’s because they’re less pressurised than in other stores so can actually take the time to look after you.
