Ooh! I love a mask pod – L’Occitane has stepped up to the plate with these beautifully boxed individual masks that look so lovely. I like the idea that they’re so nicely presented because they just make one of those spontaneous little ‘I thought of you’ gifts that at £6 won’t set you back too much but look very pretty.
It does often happen this way – that exactly the right thing lands through my letter box. I’ve been away for a few days celebrating my sister’s birthday in the sunshine so the Flash Moisture Mask was the very thing my skin needed this morning to put some hydration back. The thing I noticed straight away was just how instantly skin comforting it is and sure enough, after a few minutes, the moisture was back and my complexion felt softer and more flexible. I’d have this down as a post-flight rescue any day.
The other two mask pods are Purifying Minute Mask and Overnight Perfecting Mask, which I haven’t yet tried, but there is no reason to assume they won’t be every bit as on point as the Flash Moisture. If I was buying, I’d buy the one I tried – office drawer, pre-going out boost, the morning after perk up – so many occasions that this would be all of the handy! They’re launching on 1st June.

I love their almond items, so I’m eager to try these out! I’ve tried rose products but never peony. What does it say the properties are of peony?
Well, the brand calls it ‘skin perfecting’ but in fact peony can help to brighten skin by giving a more uniform overall look (so, tones down brown marks etc). The Flash mask also contains glycerin (and other ingredients) which will soften and hydrate as well. I think using the mask one-time won’t give any of the brightening results.. you’d have to use a day/night cream over a long period of times to see results.
