[productsample/affiliatelink] Well, here’s something you didn’t know you needed. It’s one of the best micellars I’ve used and is perfect for summer.

L’Occitane Micellar Water

It’s a refreshing cucumber and thyme infusion which I would never have thought of putting together (but I also thought how nice that combination would be with a bit of gin in it and a couple of ice cubes!), adding up to a highly sensory experience that feels completely refreshing on the skin. It actually made me smile when I was using because it felt so lovely on my hot complexion. I definitely get some crisp apple notes from it even though I don’t see that listed.

L’Occitane Micellar Water

In terms of actual cleansing – all boxes are ticked. You’re never going to get that supple, massaged and hydrated feel from a micellar, but it isn’t drying at all, and it did take off my (light) make up. I went a second time around before adding serum and then night moisturiser. Really, what I think is so enticing about this is that it elevates the pleasure in a routine cleanse. After all, you can pick up effective micellars for far, far less, but this one has all the summer vibes, is a joy for the skin and the senses at the same time and you can keep it in the fridge for an extra frisson. There is also a gel cleanser version of this (same price, £19) if you don’t like micellars. Find it HERE, non aff HERE.
