Jurlique Rose Set

Jurlique is a natural Australian brand that just carries on quietly all year making rather lovely, biodynamic skin care for face and body such as the gift set above. There’s never any question about this brand’s authenticity and quality. Being certified biodynamic is quite a big deal because it goes a step beyond organics and uses a ‘harmony with nature’ theory with no artificial fertilizers, herbicides or pesticides and ingredients are harvested when they’re exactly at their peak. It’s really not easy to farm this way (although possibly easier in unpolluted regions of Australia) and it’s also not that easy to use the ingredient extraction methods that Jurlique uses.

Ingredients are first steamed to release essential oils before being percolated under a continuous water stream to extract plant nutrients and then burned down to ash to harvest the minerals. When all that is done, everything is brought back together again. I can’t help thinking that farm must smell completely lovely!

Jurlique Rose Mist

All that is leading into letting you know that the newest limited edition Rosewater Balancing Mist is launching on the 27th March (HERE). This is when all dandelion wafting ceases and fans of the brand descend upon the website to snap it up. These special harvest, deluxe editions sell out every single year without fail – it’s like when the first Beaujolais arrives! So, if you’re already a fan of the mist, mark it in your diary. It’s a collaboration this year with an Australian artist, Belynda Henry, with her distinctive interpretation of the Jurlique farm.

If you like the look of the Rose Gift set (and believe me, Jurlique does rose, really, really well), it’s £48 for a shower gel, body lotion and hand cream. Jurlique’s been around for over 30 years now and is the number one selling natural range in Australia.
