These little lip butters in ‘handbag’ packaging are so sweet and really beautifully presented. This is the newest version in the ‘braids and blooms’ designs but there are a couple of other designs out there. I think lip ‘butter’ might be a bit of a stretch: the actual lip product inside is closer to Vaseline than any lip butter but if that kind of lip balm works for you, then there’s no problem.
The lip product has quite a strong scent – caramel kind of thing – and it’s not horrible: it doesn’t seem to have that ultra-fake back drop that cheap vanilla scents can have and I’d be quite happy to give this as a little gift to someone. It’s £4 which I think is an incredible price – despite its dinky size I think it looks considerably more expensive and it’s just very charming. One for the emergency present bag probably (we all have one, don’t we? for those random gift givers who have never, ever gifted us before so we’re completely unprepared when they call round with something… grrr!).
