Fresh Sugar Strawberry Exfoliating Face Wash

[productsample] I’ve been looking forward to trying the Fresh Sugar Strawberry Exfoliating Face Wash ever since I spotted it on their US website.

If you’ve ever used the Fresh Sugar Polish, it has a similar ‘paste’ consistency to that but in a more fluid format. It’s both cleanser and exfoliator but you can vary the level of exfoliation depending upon how much water you use with it. I applied it without water (I think most people could) and massaged well around my face. In fact, the skin feel is so lovely that I massaged more than I would normally.

As the title might suggest, it’s sugar that does the exfoliation (so if you accidentally get it on your lips it tastes sweet) while cleansing agents come from soapberry peel extract which isn’t something I’m familiar with. However, it IS a good cleanse – it’s more of a skin cleanse than a make-up remover – but I’d suggest that it’s slightly more suited to oily skin than dry. After exfoliating and cleansing, my skin – of course – felt beautifully soft but also, because it’s good at getting rid of oil, ‘very’ clean.

The formula has a fruity smell that I can’t quite say is strawberry itself – but it’s pleasant and adds to the sensory experience. This is such a summery, feel-good product – there’s a lot of pleasure in the use so I’d highly recommend with the caveat that if you have very dry skin, it’s not for you. It’s £26 HERE.
