Emma Hardie Moringa Light Cleansing Gel

[productsample/affiliate] Cleansers aimed at oily skins are few and far between compared to the absolute glut of generic or dry skin products available.

Emma Hardie Moringa Light Cleansing Gel

Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm has legend status amongst balms but if that is a tad to heavy for your skin type this thoughtfully formulated cleansing gel gives you all the ‘spa’ feel of a balm in terms of slip and fragrance, with none of the weight. It’s not, of course, exclusively for oily types but the lightness of it and the fact that it emulsifies for washing off means you get a thorough cleanse with a purifying element.

Moringa is at the heart of everything for this brand and the gel also contains sweet almond oil, omega 6, vitamin e, sea fennel and moringa seed peptides. It’s built for skin nourishing so make sure that you take your time to work it around your complexion before washing away. My skin isn’t oily, but when I tried this, I didn’t find it stripping or ‘over’ cleansing – it did a very decent clean away of (light) make-up and left my skin soft and ready for moisturiser.

Have your say

    I have questions!

I love the original balm (it’s the best, no contest) and was hoping this would make a nice morning cleanser. However I keep reading reviews that say it’s best for oily skins (mine is dry & dehydrated) and takes the place of the balm. What do you think? Would I be better off sticking with my Oskia gel for mornings?

    Thank you.

If your skin is dry and dehydrated I’d suggest you shouldn’t use a wash-off cleanser anyway – adding water further dehydrates. See if you can find a nice non-wash off that is kinder to your skin – Darphin springs to mind.

Oh, but I get on very well with both of them! Thanks for replying.
