Drunk Elephant Slaai Makeup-Melting Butter Cleanser

[productsample/affiliate] I could really stop at a one word review for this – DIVINE!

Drunk Elephant Slaai

I won’t stop there obviously, but that just sums this up. Unexpectedly, Drunk Elephant Slaai has turned out to be my favourite cleansing balm ever. There’s so much buttery slip to this that you don’t actually want to wash it off but when you do you can either splash a little water at it so it emulsifies or wipe it off with a warm cloth.  There’s no smell as such other than a slightly ‘raw’ odour and the near-sloppy consistency feels as though it’s been taken to only-just-solid which is what makes it such a gorgeous, melty, cleansing experience.

To make things even better, the spatula sticks to the lid of the pot via a magnet, so you never lose it. I’m not that fussed about having a spatula but since it’s there, I’m glad I’ll never have to go hunting about the bathroom cupboard for it. Slaai made quick work of all make up – including waterproof mascara. There is just nothing not to like about this unless you need a fragrance in your balms. Skin care geeks, stampede to SpaceNK! It’s £29 HERE non affiliate HERE. Oh, I almost forgot to say, the box comes with a tiny sample of Bamboo Booster, a bamboo and charcoal exfoliator that I haven’t tried yet.

The balm is beautiful, but I find the exfoliator a bit scratchy. I love the spoon

This looks so nice, but I think they’ve missed a trick by not making it [very lightly] scented. Not full-on essential oils or anything like that, but something. I love my Emma Hardie balm in part because of the scent.

A lot of people don’t like scented products, including essential oils, but I hear you – that gorgeous ‘spa’ scent that some balms have is a big part of the experience.

There are so many scented options that it’s wonderful for those of us who flat out don’t like fragranced skincare. Unscented skincare is still a bit thin on the ground and it seems like the ones that are fragrances are getting more strongly scented.
