I very rarely make a note in my diary for when something goes on sale, but I have done for the Clinique Take The Day Off Eye Make Up Remover Stick because it’s so good! If you wear a lot of mascara, waterproof or not, this little stick is the answer to that thorny problem of getting all of it gone so you don’t wake up looking like you walked into a lamp post (twice) the next morning. I don’t mind a bit of a morning-after mascara look – I think it’s a sign of a jolly good night before – but mascara formulas have changed so much that they get harder and harder to get off without upsetting your lashes because they’re made not to move!

It’s a rather small stick, which is the only thing that goes against it in my book – it could have been a little more generous in stature – but you really only need a little bit. I’ve been using it to both apply and remove with a cotton bud but you can swipe the stick directly onto your lashes (but clean it afterwards). It turns into a melty oily formula that you can then just remove with said cotton bud or tissue without really having to swipe at your eyes and doesn’t do that very annoying filmy thing so you can’t see for a while after!

Anyway, if you are on the long stay lash formula, it’s definitely worth a try. Clinique Take The Day Off Eye Make Up Remover Stick is £16 HERE.

Ooh I def want to try this. Do you think it’s hygienic?

Yes..unless you have an eye infection or something in which case don’t put it anywhere near your eyes.. apply with a cotton bud or make sure you wipe the top over after using.

I use the Clinque take the day off cleansing milk every night so I’m so intrigued by this product! Just may have to give it a go!

  4. This sounds great! I’m forever battling with mascara – after a fight with one particular waterproof formula I think I had about three eyelashes left! I’ll definitely give this a try!

Is it only available online now? Having seen your earlier post about the product I also marked its launch in my diary! I asked at the Clinique counter in Boots Nottingham on Thursday and was told that it wouldn’t be available there until 1st September.

Possibly an on line launch to start with.
