[productsample/affiliate] If you’re looking to shake things up when it comes to make up cleansing, the search is over.

Bobbi Brown Makeup Melter

This new product is ultra foamy and as you massage it over your face, it squishes down to an oil finish to cut through foundation, eye shadow, blush and highlighter (and of course everything else). It kind of breaks down the make up so that it slides away when you remove it. The idea of it is that you’re not swiping and wiping at your skin – just allow the foam to do its work and a quick rinse should be all you need thereafter. I was pleased with the way it tackled eye make up but as we all know if you’ve got a ton of mascara and liner on, it needs more precise work than a wash away is going to give. So, yes it takes it all away but lashes might need extra attention.

Ingredient wise, the features are goji berry, sugar beet and algae extract which made me assume it might be sweet smelling but it hardly smells of anything at all. I’d say that all skin types can use this product. It’s £27.

A quick shout out to the other cleanser in the main picture – the reformulated Soothing Cleansing Oil, £35. I’m not sure how it’s changed but it still contains kukui nut oil, goji berry, white water lily and prickly pear. It totally does the job and will equally well remove your make up but it just ‘feels’ like more of a skin cleanser than a make up cleanser. Nothing not to like here, but then there wasn’t anything not to like with the original! It’s £35. They’re both launching next week – 4th July.
