[unpaid/ad/sample/affiliate] I’m always keen to try a lip balm so I asked if I could test this one and I’m so glad I did. I think everyone is different when it comes to lip products – because I always have dry lips and need to reapply so often I don’t mind making a spend for the right one (a guilty Sisley balm compulsion but quite happy between times with Lano).

Alpha H Absolute Lip Perfector Nude Blush

I know that there is a plain version without the ‘blush’ but I’d have to say that the colour tint in this is super light – I don’t think I would have known, once on the lip, that it’s got a tint at all. However, that’s not really all that relevant because it’s a very nice balm. There’s a little hint of menthol but really very small (I am not a fan of a minty lip) and the finish is almost demi-matte so it’s very natural looking mimicking the lips’ natural skin finish. It’s a good stayer – reapplication doesn’t need to happen every five minutes and it’s a lovely pre-lipstick conditioner.

I also like this an overnight balm – because it stays nicely and locks in hydration you don’t wake with creased lips, and on the one hand it doesn’t really matter if you do but it is lovely not to. I really noticed in my bathroom mirror that after an overnight application, I actually started the day off with smooth lips – an absolute rarity! It’s £19.95 HERE, non affiliate HERE – a worthwhile spend if you battle with your lips.
