We’ve heard it a million times – that your cleanse is one of the most important parts of your beauty routine. Getting off the grime of the day (which accumulates without you even noticing most of the time) and make-up and being thorough about it is the foundation for everything that happens next.

I’m realistic about cleansing – not everyone has the time or the inclination to make a ritual out of taking off make-up and cleaning their skin; sometimes it’s a quick flap with a flannel and mascara on the pillow the next morning. Nobody is perfect! But, in terms of speed, I have to hand it to The Body Shop Camomile Dissolve The Day Make-Up Cleaning Oil for being a veritable grime slayer in not much longer than it takes to flap a flannel 😊. You can use it for either removing your make-up or general skin cleansing – I started with the latter and quickly moved on to the former.

Made using Norfolk Camomile, the soothing oil is feather light on the skin and instantly gets to work as you massage it around your complexion. It made extremely light work of my lipstick (in the picture I’m wearing a lipstick with a bright red gloss over it to put the oil through its paces properly), foundation, blush and mascara. The sootiness of mascara coming off your lashes and circling your eyes is a big tick on satisfaction and even more so when using the Clean Conscience Reusable Make-Up Remover Pads which absorb it all. They’ve got the days of the week on them (I can’t promise to strictly adhere – I just know there will be a Wednesday when I’m using Sunday) so at the end of the seven days you pop them into the little cotton mesh bag and shove into the washing machine.

I think £10 is more than fair for Camomile Dissolve The Day Make-Up Cleansing Oil because a little goes a very long way – go cautiously, it’s easy to think you need more than you do. It’s for all skins from young to old, light to deep, sensitive or hardy – you name it, you can use it, and yes, even contact lens wearers.

Camomile feels more expensive than it is – the silkiness of it and the power it carries give it a luxury edge that will make you blink! It’s an easy win for every day cleansing – especially those lazy days – one minute and it’s all off and done while you’re left with lovely soft and clean skin that will look and feel better for it.
