Revlon Ultra HD Snap Nail Polish

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] In the past, one-coat polishes were slightly problematic in that they always looked more complete with two coats. Revlon’s new Ultra HD Snap Nail Polish is a new formula that aims to give the completed look in just one coat. You don’t need a base coat or a top coat.

First up, a shout out to the perfect hand-feel of those bottles. They’re just very pleasant to hold and when I think about the angular shape of most nail polish bottles, this is a nice change. It’s a small detail but I noticed it straight away.

I tested this out on my toe nails and honestly, I still felt it was more complete with two. I mean, one would have done, but I just needed two for the look to be as I wanted it. What’s impressive is that the quick dry is good – so two coats don’t really take any longer than one normal dry would. In the picture above, from left to right, it’s Get Real (a blue grey), Birthday Suit (dusky rose) and Daredevil (a petrol blue-green).

From left to right, Berry Blissed (a vibrant, deep pink), So Shady (burgundy/brown), Think Pink (ashy baby pink) and Cherry On Top (pillar box) and the one I have on my toes right now.

On the nail wheel (one coat), Get Real, Daredevil, Birthday Suit, Cherry On Top, Think Pink, So Shady and Berry Blissed. They’re £7.99 each HERE.  Look out for bright orange Driven – summer in a colour :-).

Thank you – Love a quick drying nail varnish so will definitely try this! Does it dry to a gloss/shine?….many seem to leave quite a full matte finish. X

You’re right – I don’t find it fully matte but neither could I say it’s a high gloss finish 🙂

When hunting for nail polish I always end up buying something from Revlon. I get overwhelmed by choice at Essie and Mavala. Will probably try Get Real.

Yes, it’s like paint charts …. in the end, too hard to decide!

Just came back to this Jane after staring down at my toes in misery – currently have a full time job, 10 month old daughter teething and a book deadline and all self care has gone out of the window. This is just what I need: I can squeeze in 5 minutes to do my toes and feel like I can wear sandals, but the days of waiting for 4 coats of polish to dry are truly over for the time being! Have ordered So Shady as I treat burgundy as a neutral on my darker skin. These swatches are really helpful too: the product shots make them look much lighter in shade. Thank you xx

Wow, you sound extremely pushed for time! I hear you on the drying time – I was at a salon the other day and they had no quick dry top coat so I ended up just having the nail tidy rather than any paint… nobody has time for polish to dry! I’d advise a quick dry top coat for any polish – it’s such a time saver and makes your nails nice and glossy too.
