Mavala Pastel Fiesta

[unpaid/sample] I’m always glad to see new spring brights so the new Mavala Pastel Fiesta collection is ticking all the rainbow boxes.

Mavala Pastel Fiesta

I’m not usually drawn to pastel nails – they’re quite difficult to get right – my usual tip is to wear a white undercoat to make the colours more intense. This collection is named for spectacularly beautiful places in the world – I must admit I had to Google Gotland which turns out to be a large Swedish island. And it is very beautiful. I wanted to like Biarritz best as its one of my favorite places but it’s the least exciting of all the shades being a very flat, pale grey.

As it turns out, Gotland is my favourite, being a pastel blue with a hint of lilac to it so that it’s not a typical baby blue shade. In fact, it’s on my nails right now and has been admired on Zoom already! Rimini is interesting – it’s iridescent so it becomes a lilac shade with a very gentle blue glimmer to it.

In the swatch, it’s Taormina (Sicily), Biarritz, Rimini, Hamptons, Brighton and Gotland.

Dear Jane, for a few weeks now I have been unable to use your affiliated links as my the websites refuse to connect.
Is this a problem with just my laptop or are others having a similar problem?

That’s strange – I don’t think it’s a recurring problem for anyone else -I’ve tried it myself and it seems to work fine. So sorry you’re having this problem. x

  2. Oooh, Gotland is among the coveted vacation spots in this collection! Yes, that is a popular summer destination for us Swedes. I hope you can come visit one day, Jane! 🙂

These are lovely colours or should I say color’s since I doubt Mavala has let an English speaker vet their ads this time either. (And that sounded like not so proper English grammar to my foreign ears but I can’t say it better, haha!)

I’d love to especially as my son is living in Stockholm 🙂

      1. Even better! 😀 Welcome!
