I’m putting this at 2005 purely because there are no blog posts about it – which means that it was launched pre-blogging or at very early stages of blogging. It’s not even on Temptalia which was founded (by Christine) in 2006 and I feel sure it would be there if she’d had it.  So I think I’m about right – if you know different though, let me know!

The metal has oxidised a lot – I’ve tried to polish it up but it hasn’t really helped. Another thing I noticed generally is that descriptions of crystals were referenced as Austrian crystals and yet now, they’re almost exclusively referenced as Swarovski crystals – some great marketing has taken place over the years.

The metal square houses a pink toned lipstick, a sparkly gloss and an eye shadow in a bronze creme and it’s really too heavy for the velvet strap although it does stay in place if you have it tight. The weight feels like a brick compared to the little slivers of gold that I usually wear as bracelets!

There’s a mirror on the inside of the compact lid and the lip products still have a kind of sweet, perfumed scent to them.

The products have obviously kept their moisture because there is no shrinking from the sides of the inner components (my catch-all term for things I don’t know the right words for!). It’s still, apart from the oxidising, in really good nick although I don’t think I have the outer packaging any more. I can very much see it as an accessory to a YSL white shirt and tux. I’ve seen it on re-sale sites for approximately $68.
