Urban Decay Vice Liquid Lipsticks

Urban Decay Vice Liquid Lipsticks

While the Urban Decay Vice Liquid Lipsticks have already launched over in the US we are still playing the waiting game here in the UK. I just don’t understand these staggered launches. But, never mind, because next best thing is lab samples! Lab samples are sent unadorned and literally raw from the production line and I’ve managed to get my hands on some of them to get an idea of the shades and textures.

To be honest, I find lab samples exciting – it’s a chance to see and test the product in a raw state before the fancy packaging and the marketing has been put on and there’s nothing to sway you one way or the other. From the 30 strong line-up, there are two finishes – a metallic and a ‘comfort’ matte.

I think the swatches give a fair idea of how they translate to skin although don’t ask me what shades I have! I have no idea. The texture is a silk smooth finish – actually, they do feel very hydrating – or at least, not dehydrating, with slip on the finish until they’ve dried down a bit. Then they go to a light tack and finally a kind of second skin feel. On the US site, these are $18 each – I can’t wait to see the full range of shades but if you want to look, head HERE. I think we’ll get these February time in the UK and I’ve put a ‘finished product’ picture on the header so you can see how shiny and slick they are once properly dressed :-).

  1. I’m unsure what to think about these so far to be honest as I haven’t heard much good about them really…

I guess I’ll have to see for myself what I think about them, but I think I might just stick with my Kat Von D liquid lipsticks…
