We’re starved of Tarte here in the UK – the only place to get it is QVC and even then, it’s selected items only. So, the sale date of Tarte Limited Edition Amazonian Clay Palette QVC appearance needs to go in your diaries – for 28th August. It’s a good selection of shimmers and mattes – personally, I think the matte nude section (first two rows, going down) are too light, but if you love your nuances then you’ll feel the opposite, no doubt.

The whole palette somehow reminds me of a tan tights chart – there’s every variation of neutral here for all tones. Eight lighter shades and eight deeper shades – I think I could pretty much guarantee that every single permutation of buff is covered off!

If you’re not familiar with Tarte formulations, they’re super smooth (close to UD in that kind of softness but kick up a bit more dust than UD) and very blendable. The palette comes with a dual end brush; neither end I think is suitable for the size of the shadow squares – it seems a little oversized and for swatching I had to revert to a sponge applicator to show the shades properly. It is, however, made from sustainable bamboo. The exterior packaging is card but it seems sturdy enough.
I do think the Tarte Limited Edition Amazonian Clay Palette is exceptional value at £27. You know they’ll fly.

It does look similar to the Tartelette palette, though, doesn’t it? Maybe not worth owning both.
The colours look very similar to other nude palettes out there. A no from me.
The shades in this look SO perfect! I really hope I get it before it sells out x
TR’s Thoughts
It does seem like good value but I feel like lots of the shades just look too similar for me. I see exactly what you mean about the tan tights! I do like the formula of Tarte eye shadows, though, I have the rainforest after dark palette which is just lovely x
I need to try stuff from tarte!
Grrr…. same colours in all the Tarte palettes I already have 🙁 I’d love a green or grey!
