Suqqu Summer 2019 UK Exclusive

[productsample] As ever, Suqqu quality doesn’t waver with this six piece UK exclusive collection called Urban Prism.

Suqqu Summer 2019

If you’ve ever used Suqqu shadows before you’ll know that they’re so silky – these shades are a mix of matte, satin and shimmer and each one blends like a dream. It’s quite common for Asian palettes to include a proper yellow but I’m completely stuck as to how to wear this with any credibility! Whenever I see yellow on others I’m so envious they can wear it – I think you just have to be prepared to be bold and while I’m happy with a red lid no problem, yellow is my colour block.

So, as you can see from the swatch there isn’t a weak shade amongst the eight. They’re all one swipe of a sponge applicator and there is no variation in pigment at all. I think you can see how smoothly they swatched and what you see on my arm is what you get on your lids although using a brush as opposed to a sponge means you have more blending ability and will need to build. The palette, 101, is £59.

Pale skinned people rejoice! This blush/highlight combination, 113, Genkou, contains pink, green and blue with a holo effect. Since there are no colour rules any more, I love the idea of this as contrast on warm and deep tones, too.

The second highlight/blush combination, 114, Kousai, is more about sun-kissing.

The blushers are £34 each.

The holo lip crayon isn’t new but it’s one of those really useful products that you can use alone or over any other colour (and even on cheeks or lids) to bring light. The coloured crayons are matte but I find them very lightly so – even if you’re not a matte fan I think these are so soft that you’d barely notice the formula. 104, Usukou, is a buttery feeling light nude tone, while 105, Someaka, is a deep red. They’re £24 each.
