Oh my – I know that beauty brands like to re-invent the wheel when it comes to brushes, but the new Shiseido Inkstroke Eyeliner Brush only came to fruition after its tenth development. It’s inspired by the traditional Japanese ink brushes. It’s not so much about the bend in the brush, although it’s angled so that you get the perfect inner-to-outer lid line (I always go outer to inner) but more about the shape, width and stiffness of the brush tip.

I think if you have a natural aptitude for lid lining, flicks or no flicks, you will find this to be a revelation. If you’re really rubbish at it, like me, I am not sure it will help you! It’s beautiful though – I imagine make up artists will rave and rave about it and it does feel special in the hand, perhaps like a sleek ink pen feels when you’ve been used to holding a biro. You can also note that inside the Shiseido Inkstroke Liner there is a little lip to adjust the amount of product if you’ve picked up too much. The Inkstoke Brush is £22 HERE and the liner (in Kuromitsu Brown) is also £22 HERE.

I like the look of the angled brush! If it makes eyeliner easier 🙂

Hi Jane. Just to let you know, none of the links from your posts to Bloglovin are redirecting to your website. I don’t know if they’re tagged incorrectly? They’re all just showing as broken and the users internet provider (in my case Virgin) is trying to do a search to find the relevant website using ‘makeup’ as the search term.
thanks so much Emma – someone else flagged this up and I’m having it looked at. :-)))
