Shiseido Color Gel Lip Balm

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] You never can go too far wrong with Japanese lip formulas. Color Gel is perfect for anyone who wants a bit more colour than a tinted balm can give but all the same juiciness and hydration. It’s also lightweight so feels remarkably light on the lips.

There are 15 shades in a nature inspired colour palette – I’m assuming I have the new shades here because these balms actually launched in the UK in 2019 with 10 shades.

From left to right: 114 Lilac, 111 Bamboo and 101 Ginko. I should mention the packaging because on this hot day it’s very obvious but it somehow always feels cool in the hands. It’s as smooth as a pebble as well. RRP is £25 but I’ve found them on Look Fantastic for £20 HERE, non affiliate HERE. There really are some beautiful shades even if the new ones don’t take your fancy – take a look at creamy pink Dahlia or the stunning red Redwood.

I love this formula so much, though I wish the swatches on their website were clearer.

I’ll put in a plug for Juniper, a color that just adds a wonderful depth to the lips.

Speaking of lilac, I was able to buy a Nyx “this is milky” gloss in Lilac Splash. Looks like they were limited edition, at least in Canada, and were alreadysold out.

Glad you managed to get one 🙂
