RMK is rather a quiet brand in the UK – it’s in fairly limited distribution but nonetheless always manages to make its mark with limited edition collection. The RMK Christmas Kit 2016 is a collaboration between RMK and illustrator Idoia Montero.

I think you would say the palette is the star of the show (although the illustrated make up bag comes pretty close) with four shimmering shades and a blush.

The nail polish is a kind of pink/purple fusion – a unicorn shade, for sure! The gloss is very lightly pigmented and full of glimmer.

Despite having a flash of sunlight today, I found it hard to capture the shimmer, but bear in mind that this is a Japanese brand so it is more about washes of colour and twinkles than deep pigment.

And, not a sponge applicator anywhere. All the brushes are actual brushes. The set is £55 which actually I think is pretty good for a palette, a gloss, a polish and a makeup bag. It’s launching on 4th December, so quite a late launch.

Jane,
I’m here in Japan where the Christmas sets are already available. I’ll check this out.
RMK could possibly expand their customer base if they didn’t shoo older customers (40+ at the time me!) away and suggest Suqqu would suit them better I’ve not bothered with the brand since, very non-inclusive
