Revlon Super Lustrous Gloss in Taupe Luster

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] It’s so rare for two heathery toned lip products to come my way in one week – in fact, I am not sure it’s ever happened before. But as soon as Taupe Luster touched my lips I was sold!

Revlon Gloss

For some reason I was expecting it to be hyper-vanilla scented but in fact, it’s not. There’s a light, sweet smell and thankfully no taste. The applicator is a bit cumbersome – it’s bigger than most but if I’m being picky, I would have liked a more flexible and lip friendly wand.

Revlon Gloss

Taupe Luster has two advantages – it’s milky and it has that slightly heathered or greyed aspect that knocks out any orange tones. I think it’s delicious!

What I also noticed is that white clothing is Taupe Luster’s best friend – it somehow amplifies the colour in all of its aspects. It got a bit lost when I wore it with a flowery dress and absolutely sprang to life when I put this white top on.

Revlon Taupe Luster

Extra joy – it’s actually in stock at Boots HERE for £7.99.

Yummy! That is faaabulous on you Jane. Super Lustrous Gloss won awards a few years back I’m sure and I’ve been eeking out my last tube so this is on the list for a purchase! It does look like it’s shrunk rather 😉 but that price point is excellent. With many luxury brands are upping their lip makeup into the £30+ I may have to get a couple or more shades. Have a lovely day xx

Maybe it’s how I’ve photographed it Chrissie – it’s quite a generous tube. I’m not sure how these glosses got forgotten because they’re so good!

That looks exactly the mauvey pink type colour I like. I have worn the Super natural colour for yrs. Does it have a bit of shimmer? Emma x

    1. Jane Cunningham

      No shimmer 🙂

I blindly trust your colour recommendations quite often – and have never been disappointed! (Hello GUCCI Renee!).
This gloss arrived today and oh my it is perfect! I have NW20/25 skin and stopped colouring my hair ages ago. Never one for ‘neutral’ lip shades (make me look blah) I am always looking for an easy to wear gloss with enough impact to look intentional but not too much for my emerging white hair.
Sadly I cannot use your affiliate links from Germany!

Never worry about those affiliate links! Just so pleased that it’s the right shade for you 🙂

Thanks for flagging this up, it’s perfect for someone who needs a cool toned gloss. I purchased it today and really like the colour.

Great – there are so few really good ones so we need to flag them if we find them I think 🙂

Hi Jane, love the colour. Is this likely to suit olive and tanned skin tones?

    1. Jane Cunningham

      I would say so 🙂
