The Revlon 2-in-1 Compact & Concealer launches in July officially, but it wouldn’t surprise me if we find it a bit sooner. There always seems to be a disparity between official launch date with products in Boots or Superdrug and actual shelf date – more with L’Oreal products than anything, but it now makes me a bit wary of believing any kind of ‘official’ date. This is unusual in that it’s launching in Tesco and on Amazon with no mention of other stores. But, regardless of when and where it appears, the Revlon 2-in-1 Compact & Concealer is great!
It’s the handiest of travel items for a start, and while I was expecting the foundation to be rather dry and hefty, not at all! It’s very light feeling and gives a medium coverage. The concealer, in a separate compartment, is one tone down from the foundation, and is a little on the dry side for older skin, so I wouldn’t use it under eyes for example where it can seep and stick into creases, but it’s perfectly good to cover uneven tone. If you’re blessed with a crease free under eye zone, then there’s no problem. If you can find a tone match, I’d snap it up for holidays or downsizing the amount of product you carry around, but the downside is that there are only 4 colour options and none of them seem to cater to deeper tones. In fact, I just noticed that Revlon are using the colour name ‘natural’ beige. Hello… did someone at Revlon miss the skin colour diversity memo?
The third section at the base of the compact houses a sponge and mirror, so it’s been very well thought out in terms of practical use.
When the Revlon 2-in-1 Compact Makeup & Concealer launches it will be £13.99.
