To say I’m thrilled with my Phee’s Mini Rainbow Glow Highlight Powder purchase is an understatement! I absolutely love it. I saw it crop up on the Facebook Group, Mrs Gloss & The Goss (join – it’s such a lovely group) and within about 8 seconds I’d bought it. I’ve seen similar rainbow highlighters literally sell out overnight so I felt lucky to get hold of one.

There are five super shimmer pastel shades set across a small pan (about the size of a regular single shadow.. maybe just a big bigger) and that’s plenty for me – the chances of me rainbow highlighting are about nil but I will definitely use on my eyelids.

I’ve rather carved into the powder to get individual shade swatches at intensity with a sponge applicator, but that’s not its designed use – you’d use a small kabuki to sweep over the whole thing to get a pastel highlight, but as you can see, it’s easy enough to pick out shades if you want to use another way. But swatching has shown that it’s a very buttery, smooth blend that gives incredible iridescent shine – there was some drop, but I was carving into it and when I tried it with a soft shadow brush there was only fractional fall.

I’ve been lusting after one of these for such a long time – I can’t believe I got it for £8! It comes just as is – no compact, just the pan, so you’ll need to have something to slot it into such as a Z palette (or just look after it really carefully). Anyway, this is one happy buy!
