If you take the sweet shop approach to beauty, the pick n mix has never been easier than with Peaches & Cream Loose Pigments. All the brights, all the sparklies, all the mattes – you name it, it’s here! They’re not bank breakers, either, which is just as well because there are so many colours that it’s hard to know where to begin.
I’m so not a loose pigment person but even I’m beguiled by the shimmers and brights in this collection. When I first tried loose pigments (Molton Brown, back in the day), there weren’t such things as eye primers to help with adherence, so really, you could spend all day shedding glitter all over your face.

I will say that Peaches Eye Primer is a great one (especially at £5), and I love the fact that it’s a nude shade for certain tones. I’d like to see this primer with tones for darker skin, because shimmery pigment on black skin is a match made in heaven.
I have a no filter swatch so you can see the gleam on the shades – Pearl is iridescent, Rose is gold and pink, Wish is a warm, light gold and Wicked is a super sparkling dark grey.
There’s no particular trick to loose pigment – you’ll either have the patience for it or you won’t. You’ll need to do the vaseline/tissue thing (dab a dot of Vaseline under your eyes and *stick* a sheet of tissue to catch any fall out) and I’d always do eyes before foundation if using loose. I think loose pigments are honestly for those who love the detail and minutae of applying make up, and are prepared to spend time doing it – it’s not for people like me who dash and run.
