Paul & Joe New Lipstick Line Up

It’s all change for one of my favourite brands, Paul & Joe. They’re undergoing something of a creative revamp with roll outs starting from September. The most obvious is the new lipstick casing which is delightful and a welcome change from the usual any-brand black tubes. I would pick this over a black case any day.

I cannot resist a Paul & Joe limited lipstick case – creator, Sophie Mechaly, is obsessed with cats as if you couldn’t tell and they almost always feature somewhere in the limited line ups. The idea is that you buy a case and then choose whatever colour lipstick you want to go inside it. I like the flexibility of this and the fact that shades and casings aren’t pre-chosen for you. You might love cats but hate pink.

Or you may hate cats, love birds and adore a red lip. These cases I believe are for August but the brand’s Instagram is showing a different version so be prepared to be confused because I know I am.

Paul & Joe as a brand does pinks really, really well. They just have an eye for the right side of coral or a flash of red within. In the new line up (I don’t have everything here), you’ll find a selection of finishes – clear, natural and full. With 14 Naturals, 8 Full and 3 Clear, there should be something for everyone. The shades roughly fall into pinks, corals and neutrals. I have a September launch for these listed.

I notice that a couple of the limited casings have more of a fabric feel than the usual cardboard – I’ll investigate further but perhaps they’re all moving across to fabrics which would replicate the mood of the fashion brand more. I’m always excited for what this brand has to offer – I keep absolutely everything from Paul & Joe so by now I have such a collection!
