Nobody’s going to want the boring old roses, are they? Paul & Joe beauty collections always reflect the prints they’re using in their fashion range so I see that pattern would make something delightful to wear, it’s kind of falling into obscurity in the face of the cats for the beauty collection! The collection is named Moonlight On The River Seine reflecting the romance of nightfall – not sure how they got there, but still, it’s another gorgeous, wearable, innovative and exciting collection. This is one of two brands that I keep everything – absolutely everything – and have done for years. So, I’ve amassed quite a collection going right back to the year the brand began.
The cases you see above can be used for powder blush (two new shades above – The Left Bank and The Right Bank which probably sounds better in French), cream blush, eyebrow powder and the eye colour trios, all, obviously from Paul & Joe. So, if you’re running low on any and want to top up you have three new cases to choose from. They’re £7 each, and the blushes are £12.50.
The themes follow through to the new lipstick cases – also £7 each.
There are three new lipstick shades. I love a Paul & Joe lipstick – they’re full of treatment oils that make them dewy on the lip with a sheer pigment finish.
Elizabeth Arden Hyaluronic Acid Ceramide Capsules
I’d be prepared to put money down to bet that you won’t have experienced a skin care texture like this before...
Shades from bottom to top are: La Poete, Artiste and Une Chanson – the latter went straight into the pink cat casing and is in my handbag right now. It’s a perfect nude shade that’s only fractionally different from my lip colour so it looks natural and juicy – a ‘my lips but better’ kind of colour. The lipsticks are £14 each. The brand does make fuller pigment lipsticks so if you want more colour it does exist (try Beautybay).
The new eye shades are so pretty – they have the contrast colour as a crescent with little stars etched in the main shade.
I’m not sure personally that I’m in on the yellow eyelid – the pink shade is really pretty with a luminescence to it. Both have a small amount of shimmer.
The first two swatches are Rayon de Lune and the second pair is Moonlight On The Seine. They’re both £17 and the only products in this collection where the exterior can’t be chosen. Nonetheless, who wouldn’t want an eyeshadow with swans?!
Everything is launching on 1st August (although check, because some sites go early) at Beautybay, Amazon Luxury Beauty and Feel Unique.
