[samples/ad] If you’re looking for a proper cheer up beauty treat, the Paul & Joe Summer beauty collection launches on Friday. There are some other bits and pieces too that I’ll post then with a link (if there is one) but of course, things may be a little delayed.

As ever, the detailing is everything – spot the ladybird!

This season’s lipsticks don’t come in the cardboard cases this time – they’re in the more classic (and more durable) cases.

These three sheer shades are limited edition. From left to right: 004, 006 and 005. I’m sure they have names but as yet, I don’t have them!

Cats, as you know, are a strong theme for this brand (based on owner Sophie’s love of them) and so the core of these lipsticks are cat shaped of course! The outer bullet is translucent so the effect should be a dewy, sheer lip with a dash of whichever colour you like the look of. The brown one has a sparkle element and they’re £21 each.

They’re super-cute and exactly the sort of make-you-smile beauty I want to see right now.

And the theme continues with five new Sparkling Eye Colours (£20 each).

These could not be sweeter! The formula is an oil-rich gel so they’re that sort of bouncy consistency. It’s worth noting that these are made in Japan where cosmetics have to survive high humidity so you may find they last better than expected during summer months when other things tend to slide off your lids. It’s one of those in-built global variants that doesn’t get noticed often.

As you can see, there is a ‘wet’ sheen to them and they’re really quite sparkly with tiny twinkles. You can built them up or wear as a wash on bare lids or over any other shades. I think when the sun starts shining again, these will be an absolute joy. I’ll post links for these on Friday.

Furrrbulous! My makeup spend for May is about to go through the roof. I have resisted Paul & Joe to date but this has broken through. 6g is a good amount of (cat’s) eye product too. Hope all is well with you. And the new look BBB is 10/10. Best wishes xxx
Ah thanks Chrissie – yes, Thom has been tinkering during lock-down and he’s trying a variety of new things so we will see what works and what doesn’t – he will be pleased to know you like it. I’ll post links for the Paul & Joe tomorrow with the other pieces from the collection (IF they’ve launched).
Thank you Jane, will keep an eye out for the link. I like the new font as well. Have a good Friday (already!) and weekend. xxx
It’s delayed – so hopefully will come next week x
