Origins Blooming Bold Lipsticks

Well, hello there! For quite some time, Origins has focused on body and skin care rather than their make-up. Their Pinch Your Cheeks tint was a huge favourite of mine (I might even have one still somewhere) and I don’t know why it was discontinued because everyone loved it. There is a new tint but I don’t have it yet and as soon as I do I’ll put it through the usual paces. However, there are these brand new lipsticks, Blooming Bolds, and they’re pretty fabulous.

They’re full coverage, flower butter infused (and some real crushed petals) with a satin finish. They’re on-line only at the moment so you won’t find them anywhere else – I’m thinking now about the beauty editors working on their spring editions giving thanks for these because they are very spring-like and perfect for visual editorial. I think they’re gorgeous – they feel balmy on the lips and give a good dose of colour – there are 23 shades to choose from.

There is a dash of honey in these so they many not be vegan suitable and the brands uses essential oils to scent the lipsticks (they’re not overly scented by the way – quite a delicate perfume) just in case you’re sensitive to those. In wear, they feel conditioning and comfortable – there just isn’t really anything to complain about here. I love the packaging for a) being easy to find among a myriad of black lipsticks and b) for being happy looking.
