[unpaid/samples] I’m happy to come across Mishel Make Up developed by two make-up artists, Shelley Greenham and Michelle Daniels who have an impressive roster of glamorous clients and a wealth of experience. Who better to create a capsule collection than make up artists who have every brand at their finger tips but can see the needs and gaps that aren’t met.

I have two of the lip glosses and the Eyebrow Balm which I’m already a fan of. Normally, I don’t do much to my brows other than a bit of Benefit Powder – I have a fringe that hides them but to be honest, they don’t really need hiding. They’re not sparse or unruly so all they require from time to time is definition.

I’m a fan straight away. This balm is an ‘everybrow’ product if you’re not chasing a laminated, Kardashi-brow and want something that looks naturally defined and neatly groomed. The pigment isn’t intense – there is plenty but you won’t suddenly get a surprise Kim. The balm is lightweight and therefore carries well in a stroke across the hairs to leave a slight deepening of shade – add more by all means if you want a very defined brow. The fact that it’s a mid-brown makes it good for all ages – especially if you have greys because the contrast won’t be stark, you’ll just look naturally blessed with good brows.

The brush is absolutely essential – that little sharpened edge is what allows you to move it along the curve of the brow. There are three shades of balm – this is Brunette and will suit most tones but if you’re very fair, opt for Blonde, or very deep opt for Deep Brunette. At £14 I think it’s a snip – it will last a long, long time. The brush is £12 (cruelty free).

The glosses are as you’d hope – nicely glossy and soft on the lip. Vivid Energy is a bit too vivid and energetic for me but I love Skinny Dip which gives a wash of iridescent shimmer to a natural lip. It’s the kind of under-made-up look that I’m quite into at the moment – it amplifies your lip look without being a statement. All of my money is on the Brow Balm though – I can’t see anyone being disappointed with it to be honest. Especially if you’re at the stage of can’t quite be bothered but think maybe you should – it will change everything :-). Find Mischel HERE.
