Maybelline Colossal Spider Effect Mascara

No, it’s not Halloween yet, although that is the obvious time for Maybelline Colossal Spider Effect Mascara to launch (and it hits in October). I still love trying new mascaras after having had lash extensions for many years – the novelty has yet to wear off and there are three or four I’ve tried recently that have been truly wow, including this one. I’d say it’s not really an everyday mascara – the brush delivers a lot of product so you need to be careful how you control it, but rather than being about fat lashes, this one is all about the long and skinny.

Maybelline is good at mascara – it’s really one of their strongest points, so you’d expect this to deliver well and it does. The effect is very black, very spiky, individually coated lashes that look super long and well defined. It takes a little while to dry on the lash so bear that in mind, and my advice is to try to ensure that when you take the wand from the tube, it’s not over-full.  Expect to see it on every magazine page with the web-effect packaging which is like a gift for beauty editors compiling their Halloween issues!

I love the Colossal mascara with the leopard print, it is excellent but I had to give it up because I found I was allergic to it :-(.

Jane, have you tried NuColour Curling Mascara since you’ve stopped your eyelash extensions. For me, it out performs all other mascaras I’ve tried from Dior, YSL, Clinique & Benefit’s They’re Real. I highly recommend as one to test out for yourself!
