I always think it’s a bit weird when a brand releases one new lipstick at a time. It’s clever marketing that guarantees endless coverage – a post every time a new lipstick releases is something that most brands couldn’t pull off. Marc apparently names each lipstick himself so maybe it just took a while. Anyway, meet Kate, the new satin finish shade with plum tones.
It’s skewing less plum in my pictures than it actually is for some reason – I’ve photographed it three times and it looks different in all lights! But, decent cool plum shades aren’t the easiest to come by so if that’s your kind of colour then it’s a welcome addition to the Lip Creme line up.
I will say that Kate looks more brown in the swatch than it does on the lip where it goes all ripe and plum vamp so take a look also at Temptalia’s pictures HERE which I personally think skew it fractionally pink. What it it about this colour that makes it so camera shy! It’s a pricey one at £25 HERE. It’s exclusive to John Lewis (where it looks purple – arghh!).
