Marc Jacobs Enamoured (With Pride) Hydrating Lip Gloss Stick

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] Although I am as side-eyeing as anyone else on the subject of commercialising Pride, I like to support this brand every year for their work with and donations to SAGE which is a charity exclusively for older members of the LGBTQ+ community. This year, Marc Jacobs Beauty is also supporting Le Refuge, a French charity for younger members.

It’s also a good opportunity to introduce the new shades. If you’ve never used one of these gloss sticks, you’d be easily confused into thinking they’re standard glosses because the base looks like that’s what it’s full of. But no – that colour is part of the componentry. Even though I’ve used them before I still tried to twist the lid off instead of pulling.

There are five new shades (I’ve photographed four here) that all fall into a pastel palette. But, my goodness, these are so shiny (and soft so apply very gently) and lightful that it’s the gleam that does all the talking.

From left to right: Pink-Kiki, Hips Don’t Lilac, Dancing Sheen and Coming Out. They have shimmer in them but despite the shades leaning light, there is plenty of pigment as well for a medium/full lip look.

I don’t even have good photo conditions today (windy and rainy) and yet these are still beaming with light – they look liquid! I think if you want a gloss that’s a bit extra and a bit special, these fit right into that category – I don’t say they’re for every day but they give a strong lip game! They’re £24 HERE, non affiliate HERE.
